毎年8月10日（8月9日夜半過ぎから10日正午まで）は覚園寺で黒地蔵盆というご先祖供養の縁日があります。今年は、三年ぶりに眠い目をこすりながらお泊まりゲストさんと共に行って参りました。

黒地蔵尊が亡くなられた方々へ私たちの気持ちや願いを 運びとどけてくださる縁日として施餓鬼法要がおこなわれます。新盆をむかえられる方が三年間つづけて縁日に参拝供養 すると亡くなられた方は必ず成仏なさることから多くの参拝者が亡くなられた方の供養におとずれます。
Every year on 10 August (from after midnight on 9 August to noon on 10 August), Kakuenji Temple holds a festival called Kurojizo-bon, which is a memorial service for ancestors. This year, for the first time in three years, I rubbed my sleepy eyes and went there with the overnight guests.

The Jizo Bon Festival is held on the day when the Black Jizo carries our feelings and wishes to those who have passed away. Many visitors come to the temple to make offerings to the deceased, as the deceased will surely be liberated if they continue to visit the temple on the New Year's Bon Festival for three years.
